This striking floral lamp from the 1970s, attributed to Maison Jansen, is a captivating example of sculptural lighting design. Crafted from brass, the lamp takes the form of an organic bouquet, with four elongated stems rising from a circular base, each topped with a textured, globe-shaped glass diffuser nestled within stylized lotus-like petals. The leaves and petals are rendered in tones of gold and antique bronze, giving the piece a warm, luminous quality even when unlit. Smaller, fan-shaped metal leaves extend outward from the base and stems, enhancing the naturalistic silhouette and giving the piece a dynamic, almost kinetic presence.

Maison Jansen was a renowned interior design firm founded in 1880 in Paris by Dutch-born Jean-Henri Jansen. It quickly rose to prominence as one of the first international design houses, blending traditional European styles with contemporary trends. Throughout the early 20th century, the firm worked on prestigious projects, including the White House during John F. Kennedy’s administration in the 1960s. Maison Jansen remained influential until it closed in 1989, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of high-end interior design.

Both whimsical and glamorous, this lamp is a statement piece ideal for a living room, eclectic bedroom, or stylish entryway.
