This elegant modular serving set consists of a sleek rectangular tray paired with four removable triangular dishes. Crafted in silverplate, the ensemble combines functionality with sculptural modernist lines and smooth, high-shine surfaces. The triangular dishes nest perfectly within the tray, making this set ideal for presenting hors d’œuvres, petits fours, or condiments with refined minimalism.

The triangular inserts are stamped with the Gallia hallmark and rooster poinçon, indicating they were produced in the 1930s–1940s by Christofle’s Gallia division, known for bold, forward-thinking Art Deco design. The base tray, by contrast, bears the later “Christofle France” stamp without the Gallia mark. Its streamlined form and construction are highly characteristic of the work of Lino Sabattini, Christofle’s design director during the 1960s, who introduced a more architectural, modular approach to silverware.

It is therefore likely that this set represents a thoughtful pairing: a 1960s Sabattini-era tray combined with Art Deco Gallia dishes from the 1930s. The result is visually cohesive and functionally versatile.

Whether used for elegant table service or styled on a sideboard or vanity as a stylish catchall, this set embodies a sophisticated synthesis of two of Christofle’s most influential design periods.
