Ducksch has started the German season brightly and is amongst the goals, having scored six of them in an overall 12 appearances, meaning an average of one goal every two games.
His displays have put the question of a January transfer window exit on the agenda and he has interest from the Premier League.
Nottingham Forest want to sign a striker in January and they are keen on Ducksch, who would double his salary with a move to England.
They will not be the only Premier League club on the heels of Ducksch though, with Newcastle United also joining the queue, according to German daily Bild.
The Magpies currently have both Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak out with injuries with their return dates not yet confirmed.
Manager Eddie Howe is therefore keen on adding to his options and Ducksch is being monitored.
A move to England could appeal to the 29-year-old, but there is no release clause that the two interested clubs might trigger.
It now remains to be seen whether Newcastle United decide to push forward with their interest when the transfer window opens in January.
