A 3-1 win over Swansea on Wednesday night helped Leeds remain third in the Championship table and in the hunt to get promoted to the Premier League this season.
Leeds are also unbeaten at home this term and are chasing down the top two, the automatic promotion spots in the Championship.
The Whites are being seen as one of the top contenders for promotion and Farke has experience of getting teams promoted from the Championship as well.
Johnson feels Farke’s experience will also help the rest of the squad to remain focused on the next game rather than think too far ahead.
He also believes the Leeds boss will also keep the emotions in check as Leeds navigate the topsy-turvy nature of the Championship season.
The former White said on BBC Radio Leeds: “He would be speaking as well from experience.
“He has won this league twice; he knows what it takes to get out of this league and he also knows how easily things can turn.
“You can play well in one game and you can be dreadful the next game.
“He will be drilling the lads that it’s all about the next game, don’t look too far forward, don’t let your emotion get too high when you win and when you lose don’t get too low because things can change as we play a lot of games in this league.
“He will be speaking from experience and he will keep the lads level-headed.”
Leeds will hope to keep their form going when they host Michael Carrick’s Middlesbrough at Elland Road on Saturday.
