This rare Vichy garden bench from the 1920s or early 1930s is a remarkable example of the stylistic transition between Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Its design masterfully blends the organic, flowing curves of Art Nouveau, seen in the scrolling wrought iron arms, with the clean, structured lines and geometric balance of Art Deco. The bench’s distinctive fan-back silhouette is paired with a finely arched iron frame, resulting in a composition that feels both graceful and architectural. The original green paint, now gently distressed to a soft patina, adds a romantic layer of age and character.
Bearing its original maker’s label, this bench offers both historic charm and decorative impact, making it a standout piece for a garden, veranda, or sunroom.
A matching armchair is available separately, allowing for a harmonious seating arrangement that brings a refined, period-authentic touch to any outdoor or indoor setting.
